 Samsung, along with Apple, is the most popular phone brand in the United States, so customers will be pleased to learn that both companies will now allow users to fix their own smartphones, after Apple's announcement of its DIY repair program. Samsung announced a partnership with iFixit on user-replaceable parts for its most popular lines of mobile devices that are already out in the hands of consumers, such as the Galaxy S20 or Galaxy S21 series, as well as the Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet, in a huge win for the Right to Repair Act. According to Ramon Gregory, Senior Vice President of Customer Care at Samsung Elec, the replaced and faulty assemblies or parts can then be returned to Samsung for "responsible recycling."
